A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N450WN performing flight WN-237 from Phoenix,AZ to Oakland,CA (USA), was enroute at FL360 about 100nm east of Palm Springs,CA (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Palm Springs due to an electrical problem. The crew advised no services were needed. The aircraft landed safely on Palm Springs' runway 31L about 20 minutes after leaving FL360.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled.

A passenger reported the crew announced: "electrical malfunction and only one circuit left".
