A Kelowna McDonnell Douglas DC-10 freighter, registration C-GKFB performing flight KFA-3310 (dep Apr 27th) from Vancouver,BC to Hamilton,ON (Canada) with 3 crew, was enroute at FL350 about 190nm southwest of Calgary,AB (Canada) when the crew reported electrical problems and diverted to Calgary for a safe landing about 30 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft momentarily lost electrical power to a number systems, several electrical bus transfers occurred which could not be explained. Maintenance found a loose single phase wire on an AC generator. The wire connection was tightened and the aircraft released to continue the flight with no recurrence of that problem, the aircraft however encountered the next problem on the leg to Hamilton, see Incident: Kelowna DC10 near Calgary on Apr 29th 2012, reverser pressure problem.
