A KLM Cityhopper Embraer ERJ-190, registration PH-EZU performing flight KL-919 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Southampton,EN (UK), was on approach to Southampton's runway 02 when the crew initiated a go around due to a flaps problem. The crew decided to return to Amsterdam, climbed to FL200 at low speed for the return. On approach to Amsterdam the crew indicated they could accept runway 18R - due to the simultaneous emergency of the Corendon B738, see Incident: Corendon Dutch B738 near Amsterdam on Jul 18th 2023, flaps problem. After the Corendon B738 had landed ATC advised runway 27 was now available the crew decided to use runway 27 advising they needed a long approach, they could not use bank angles beyond 20 degrees and needed a shallow intercept, they would land at a slightly higher than normal speed at about 150 KIAS. The aircraft landed on runway 27 at about 150 knots over ground about 2 hours after departure.

The aircraft returned to service about 19 hours after landing.
