An Air Canada Bombardier C-Series CS-300, registration C-GJXW performing flight AC-318 from Calgary,AB to Montreal,QC (Canada) with 122 passengers and 10 crew, had just levelled off a cruise FL330 when the left hand engine (PW1524G) lost oil pressure. The crew worked the related checklist, shut the engine down, declared PAN PAN and returned the aircraft to Calgary, where the aircraft landed on runway 35R about 75 minutes after departure.

On Jun 5th 2023 the Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the #1 engine oil filter, small metallic particles were found on the filter and cover plate. The filter was replaced and the recovered particles were sent for analysis.
