A SAS Scandinavian Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration LN-RRG performing flight SK-4414 from Tromso to Longyearbyen (Norway) with 180 people on board, was climbing out of Tromso's runway 19 when the aircraft flew through a flock of birds and received a number of bird strikes prompting the crew to level off at 5000 feet and return to Tromso for a safe landing on runway 19 about 15 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the passengers to Longyearbyen were delayed by 90 minutes due to the bird strike.
