An Allegiant Airbus A319-100, registration N323NV performing flight G4-426 from Cincinnati,KY to Saint Petersburg,FL (USA) with 130 people on board, was climbing out of Northern Kentucky Airport's runway 27 when the crew advised ATC they wanted to stop the climb at 6000 feet while working a thrust reverser issue on their #1 engine (left hand, CFM56). The crew subsequently declared emergency and proceeded to return to Cincinnati. The aircraft landed safely on runway 27 about 20 minutes after departure and taxied to the apron.

The flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 20 hours before returning to service.
