An Easyjet Switzerland Airbus A319-100, registration HB-JZO performing flight DS-6908/U2-6908 from Geneva (Switzerland) to Edinburgh,SC (UK) with 151 people on board, was enroute at FL380 about 40nm east of London Luton Airport,EN (UK) when the crew detected an engine (CFM56) oil leak, shut the engine down and diverted to London Luton for a safe landing on runway 26 about 40 minutes later.

A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration G-EZEG reached Edinburgh with a delay of 2 hours.

The airline confirmed an engine oil leak prompted the crew to shut an engine down and to divert to Luton Airport as precaution.
