A TUI Airlines Nederland Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration PH-TFP performing flight OR-1631 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Las Palmas,CI (Spain), was climbing out of Amsterdam's runway 18C when the crew reported a bird strike, stopped the climb at FL110, entered a hold to burn off fuel and returned to Amsterdam for a safe landing on runway 27 about 55 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration OO-JNL is currently taxiing for departure from Amsterdam with a delay of approximately 10.5 hours.
