The aircraft was carrying a UN medical team.
On Oct 4th 2022 the Canadian TSB reported that during the descent towards Malakal the crew received a “#2 HYD ISO VLV” caution light indicating low quantity in the #2 hydraulic reservoir. The crew worked the related checklists, conducted an alternate gear extension and used asymmetric braking and power. While slowing through 80 knots the captain detected that braking wasn't effective enough and asked the first officer to assist, however, before the first officer was able to assist the aircraft went off the runway despite continued toe brake pressure and asymmetric power. The engines were secured and the passengers disembarked. The damage is limited to the nose gear doors.
