The remainder of the flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto the next flights the following morning.
On Jan 2nd 2013 The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft was about 100nm east of Sandspit,BC (Canada) when the crew declared emergency reporting the total loss of power from the right hand engine (CFM56-7B27). The aircraft diverted to Juneau for a safe landing. Maintenance determined that during flight a clamp holding two ends of an anti-ice duct between the engine tap-off and the anti-ice control valve had fallen off. The hot bleed air duct thus blew directly against the electronic engine control, which overheated and failed causing the engine to cease operation. The electronic engine control and clamp were replaced.
