The aircraft subsequently was unable to depart for the return flight and is still on the ground in Buenos Aires about 17 hours after landing.
Argentina's Junta de Seguridad en el Transporte (JST) reported they opened an investigation into an incident involving EC-NJM.
According to information The Aviation Herald received the aircraft suffered a bird strike on final approach.
