A Frontier Airlines Airbus A320-200N, registration N335FR performing flight F9-73 from Cancun (Mexico) to Denver,CO (USA), was climbing out of Cancun when the crew stopped the climb at about FL360 and decided to return to Cancun reporting flight control vibrations. The aircraft landed safely back on Cancun's runway 12L about 45 minutes after departure.

Mexico's AIB reported the crew declared emergency due to flight control vibrations and returned to Cancun. There were no injuries, the aircraft received minor damage. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.

The aircraft positioned to Tampa on Oct 13th 2021, performed test flights on Oct 15th 2021 and Oct 21st 2021 before returning to service on Oct 22nd 2021.
