A Skywest Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of United, registration N751SK performing flight OO-6209/UA-6209 from Denver,CO to Santa Ana,CA (USA) with 63 passenger and 4 crew, was enroute at FL380 about 30nm southeast of Grand Junction,CO when the crew needed to shut an engine (CF34) down and diverted to Grand Junction for a safe landing about 20 minutes later.

A replacement CRJ-700 registration N748SK reached Santa Ana with a delay of 2:20 hours.
