A Total Linhas Aereas Boeing 727-200, registration PR-TTW performing a freight flight from Vitoria,ES to Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) with 3 crew, was enroute near Rio de Janeiro,RJ (Brazil) when the crew decided to shut the #2 engine (JT8D, tail mounted) down and continued the flight to Sao Paulo for a safe landing.

Brazil's CENIPA reported the crew observed the oil quantity indication for the #2 engine to drop followed by a low oil pressure indication for the engine. The crew worked the related checklist, assessed their options and decided to continue the flight to destination.
