A Fedex Federal Express McDonnell Douglas MD-10, registration N308FE performing flight FX-1201 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Memphis,TN (USA) with 5 crew, was climbing through 13,000 feet out of Dallas Ft. Worth's runway 17R when the crew reported they needed to shut the #2 engine (CF6, tail mounted) down. The aircraft descended back to 13,000 feet, positioned for an approach to runway 17C and landed safely about 20 minutes after departure.

The aircraft returned to service about 18 hours later.
