A Mesa Airlines Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of United, registration N87303 performing flight UA-6029 from Houston Intercontinental,TX to Memphis,TN (USA), was enroute at FL350 east of Dallas,TX (USA) when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence causing a head injury to a flight attendant. The flight continued to Memphis for a safe landing about 35 minutes later.

The FAA reported: "FLIGHT ENCOUNTERED SEVERE TURBULENCE CAUSING FLIGHT ATTENDANT TO STRIKE HEAD" and stated the severity of injury was unknown. The aircraft did not receive damage.
