A Yakutia Boeing 737-700, registration VQ-BLS performing flight R3-500 from Khabarovsk to Yakutsk (Russia) with 47 passengers and 7 crew, was on approach to Yakutsk when the crew could not extend the flaps into landing position and aborted the approach. After working the relevant checklists the crew burned off fuel and performed a safe landing at a higher than normal speed.
