An El Al Boeing 737-700, registration 4X-EKE performing flight LY-334 from Brussels (Belgium) to Tel Aviv (Israel), was enroute at FL350 about 45nm north of Tirana (Albania) when the crew reported a female passenger (84) suffered symptoms of a heart attack and decided to divert to Brindisi (Italy) about 110nm southwest of their position. The aircraft landed safely on runway 31, the patient was taken to a local hospital.

The aircraft reached Tel Aviv with a delay of 1:45 hours.
