A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BLU performing flight PK-204 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Lahore (Pakistan), was climbing out of Dubai's runway 30R when the crew stopped the climb at 4000 feet due to a gear indication, one of the gear doors didn't close. The aircraft returned to Dubai for a safe landing on runway 30L about 20 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 6 hours, the departed for the flight, maintained maximum FL230 and 340 knots over ground and diverted to Karachi (Pakistan) landing there about 7 hours past scheduled arrival in Lahore.
