A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BLU performing flight PK-211 from Islamabad (Pakistan) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was enroute at FL380 about 250nm northwest of Karachi (Pakistan) when the crew decided to divert to Karachi due to a cracked windshield. The aircraft landed safely in Karachi about 50 minutes later.

A replacement A320-200 registration AP-BLZ reached Dubai with a delay of 4:15 hours.

The airline confirmed a cracked windshield as cause for the diversion.
