A Stobart Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A on behalf of Aer Lingus, registration EI-FAW performing flight EI-3390 from Dublin (Ireland) to Leeds,EN (UK), departed Dublin's runway 28 when just after becoming airborne the crew reported there was a carcass on the left side of runway just at the point of rotation. The aircraft continued the climb initially, but stopped at about FL088 and returned to Dublin for a safe landing on runway 28 about 20 minutes after departure.

A runway inspection recovered the carcass that was identified a hare or rabbit.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about one hour, then departed again and reached Leeds with a delay of 95 minutes.
