A Transavia France Boeing 737-800, registration F-HTVG performing flight TO-3450 from Porto to Funchal (Portugal), was enroute at FL390 about 200nm short of Funchal when the first officer took control of the aircraft, turned around and returned to Porto. On approach to Porto he reported a male crew member had passed out for one minute, low blood pressure was suspected, medical services were needed for the crew member. The aircraft landed safely on Porto's runway 17 about 2:15 after departure from Porto.

A source told The Aviation Herald, that the captain fainted and received first aid from a doctor travelling as passenger on board. The first officer was not certified to perform landing at Funchal, therefore turned around and returned to Porto.
