An Aer Lingus Airbus A321-200N, registration EI-LRB performing flight EI-115 from Dublin (Ireland) to Philadelphia,PA (USA), was enroute at FL330 about 240nm northwest of Shannon (Ireland) about to enter Oceanic Airspace when the aircraft entered a hold to perform some troubleshooting. After holding for about 35 minutes the crew advised they had almost certainly, 99% sure, erroneous fuel flow indications and would return to Dublin. The aircraft landed safely back in Dublin about 125 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 2.5 hours, then departed again and is estimated to reach Philadelphia with a delay of 4:20 hours.
