A Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration N374HA performing flight HA-460 from Seoul (South Korea) to Honolulu,HI (USA), was enroute at FL350 over the Pacific Ocean about 270nm east of Tokyo (Japan) when the crew decided to return to Seoul due to problems with the lavatories. The aircraft climbed to FL360 for the return and landed safely in Seoul about 2.5 hours after the decision to turn around.

Passengers reported both aft lavatories were closed with handwritten notes on them, that the lavatories were out of order.

The airline reported there were problems with the lavatories and galley sinks prompting the return. The passengers were taken to hotels.

The occurrence aircraft departed again after about 15.5 hours on the ground.
