A Polar Airlines Antonov AN-24, registration RA-47260 performing flight RKA-215 from Yakutsk to Batagay-Alyta (Russia) with 30 passengers, was about 21 minutes into the flight when the crew detected the oil pressure of the left hand engine (AI24) dropped. The crew decided to return to Yakutsk, shut the engine down and landed safely back in Yakutsh about 40 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the aircraft carried 25 adult and 5 children passengers, about 21 minutes into the flight a drop in the left hand engine's oil pressure prompted the captain to return the aircraft to Yakutsk and shut the engine down. A replacement AN-26 departed Yakutsk with a delay of about 5 hours. Rosaviatsia opened an investigation.
