An Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus A330-200, registration LV-FNK performing flight AR-1303 from Miami,FL (USA) to Buenos Aires Ezeiza,BA (Argentina) with 251 people on board, was enroute at FL410 over the Andres, about abeam Salta,SA (Argentina) the aircraft descended to FL370 completing the crossing of the Andes at that flight level. While enroute over the Andes the aircraft encountered turbulence causing injuries to 9 occupants. The aircraft continued to Buenos Aires for a safe landing.

The airline reported the aircraft encountered turbulence over the Andes. Eight passengers and one member of the crew were treated at the airport's clinic, none of the injuries was diagnosed to be serious.
