An Air France Airbus A330-200, registration F-GZCF performing flight AF-159 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 148 passengers and 11 crew, was enroute at FL390 over the Labrador Sea about 450nm northeast of Gander,NL (Canada) when the crew reduced tthe right hand engine (CF6) to idle due to low oil pressure. The crew declared PAN PAN and diverted to Gander for a safe landing about 75 minutes after the decision to turn around.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Gander 10 days after landing.

On Sep 16th 2019 the Canadian TSB reported the crew received dropping oil quantity and dropping oil pressure indications for the right hand engine. The crew declared emergency but kept the engine at idle thrust throughout the approach and landing.
