An Air Algerie Boeing 737-800, registration 7T-VKD performing flight AH-1137 from Marseille (France) to Chlef (Algeria) with 147 passengers, was turning off the landing runway in Chlef when a right main tyre blew causing also damage to the hydraulic lines at the right hand gear. The passengers disembarked normally.

The return flight AH-1136 was cancelled. The about 50 passengers were rebooked onto flights via Algier (Algeria).

The incident aircraft was able to position to Algiers the following day about 19 hours after landing and subsequently resumed service.
