An OLT Express Germany Fokker 100, registration D-AOLH performing flight OL-451 from Saarbruecken (Germany) to Southend,EN (UK), stopped the climb out of Saarbruecken at 5000 feet when the gear did not fully retract and entered a hold. About 40 minutes later the aircraft climbed to FL100 and diverted to Stuttgart (Germany) for a safe landing on runway 07 about 70 minutes after departure.

A replacement Saab 2000 registration D-AOLB reached Southend with a delay of 6 hours.

The return flight OL-452 was cancelled.
