A replacement A330-300 registration N803AV departed Bogota with a delay of 19 hours.

The crew subsequently announced, the landing gear was stuck in the down position, they were unable to retract it even after working the checklists and consulting with maintenance. The aircraft burned off fuel and returned to Bogota, the aircraft used the full runway length for roll out.
The airline responded to another passengers tweet stating (translated): "We want to make it clear that the landing gear failed but didn't break, so your AV20 flight returned to the platform due to an unscheduled technical inspection, which led to a change of aircraft."
