An Easyjet Airbus A319-100, registration G-EZIO performing flight U2-8679 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Olbia (Italy), was enroute at FL370 about 30nm norteast of Marseille (France) when the crew decided to divert to Milan Malpensa (Italy) due to a hydraulic failure. The aircraft landed safely on Malpensa's runway 35R about 40 minutes later.

A replacement A319-100 registration OE-LQQ reached Olbia with a delay of 5.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service after about 8.5 hours on the ground.
