A Jetblue Airbus A321-200, registration N954JB performing flight B6-601 from New York JFK,NY to Fort Lauderdale,FL (USA), departed New York's runway 04L, climbed to FL340 enroute and landed on Fort Lauderdale's runway 28L about 2:15 hours after departure completing a seemingly uneventful flight.

A post flight inspection revealed however that an engine (V2533) had ingested a bird. The aircraft was thus unable to depart for the return flight and remained on the ground for 7 hours before returning to service.
