An Interjet Airbus A321-200, registration XA-GEO performing flight 4O-3301 from Cancun to Mexico City (Mexico), was on approach to Mexico City's runway 05R when the crew went around and declared emergency reporting low fuel. The aircraft climbed to 11000 feet, positioned for another approach and landed safely on runway 05R about 10 minutes after the go around.

Mexico's CAA rated the occurrence a serious incident (indicative of landing below final fuel reserve) and opened an investigation.
