An Air Malta Airbus A320-200, registration 9H-AHS performing flight KM-641 from Catania (Italy) to Malta (Malta), was on approach to Malta's runway 31 when it received a bird strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 31.

The aircraft was unable to continue its schedule and is still on the ground in Malta about 15 hours later.

As result flight KM-306 from Malta to Munich (Germany) was performed by a replacement A319-100 registration 9H-AEJ and reached Munich with a delay of 5.5 hours.
