A Joon Airbus A321-200 on behalf of Air France, registration F-GTAT performing flight AF-1204 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy) with 117 passengers and 7 crew, was enroute at FL320 about 130nm northnorthwest of Lyon (France) when the crew decided to divert to Lyon reporting a low engine oil pressure indication for the right hand engine (CFM56). The aircraft landed safely about 30 minutes later.

The airline reported: "AF1204 diverted to Lyon (LYS) as precautionary measure and following airline and manufacturer procedure due to an issue on one engine (low oïl pressure)."

A replacement A321-200 registration F-GTAH reached Rome with a delay of 4.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 7 hours after landing.
