An Air Austral Boeing 737-800, registration F-ONGB performing flight UU-611 from Reunion (Reunion) to Antananarivo (Madagascar), was climbing out of Reunion's runway 12 when the crew did not receive indication the gear had retracted. The crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet and returned to Reunion for a safe landing on runway 14 about 35 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration F-ONGA reached Antananarivo with a delay of 6 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 17 hours after landing back.
