An Aeroflot Airbus A320-200, registration VP-BLL performing flight SU-2030 from Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) to Budapest (Hungary), was on final approach to Budapest's runway 31R when the crew initiated a go around due to an unsafe gear indication. The crew worked the related checklists and managed to extend and lock the gear in the third attempt. The aircraft subsequently positioned for another approach to runway 31R and landed safely.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Budapest for about 14.5 hours, then positioned to Moscow Sheremetyevo at FL250 and a maximum of 380 knots over ground. The aircraft remained another 14 hours on the ground in Moscow before returning to service.
