A Cityjet Avro RJ-85 on behalf of Air France, registration EI-RJI performing flight WX-5222/AF-5222 from Dublin (Ireland) to London City,EN (UK), was climbing out of Dublin's runway 10 when the crew reported they did not receive an uplock indication for the landing gear and needed to enter a hold to troubleshoot and subsequently return to Dublin. The aircraft landed safely on runway 10 about 30 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the airplane levelled off shortly after departure, the captain announced they were running a checklist to resolve a technical problem, they would return to Dublin but expected a normal landing however. Shortly afterwards the gear was obviously lowered recognizeable by the noise level increasing, the aircraft landed without further event back in Dublin. The flight was cancelled, the passengers were taken to hotels and rebooked onto flights the following day.
