A Trans Capital Airlines de Havilland Dash 7-100 on behalf of United Nations, registration C-FPBJ performing flight UNO-657P from Wanlaweyn to Baidoa (Somalia) with 17 passengers and 3 crew, was descending towards Baidoa when the crew received a low oil pressure indication for the #3 engine (PT6A, inboard right hand) and immediately decided to divert to Mogadishu (Somalia) advising the flight attendant an engine shut down was possible. During the diversion the oil pressure for the #3 engine fluctuated continuously, the crew worked the related checklist and shut the engine down. The crew declared PAN, requested emergency services on stand by and continued for a safe landing in Mogadishu.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced a hydraulic garloc seal.
