A SAS Scandinavian Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration LN-RPJ performing flight SK-4023 from Oslo to Stavanger (Norway), was accelerating for takeoff from Oslo's runway 01L when the crew rejected takeoff due to an engine failure (CFM56). The aircraft returned to the apron.

The airline confirmed the crew received indication of a technical malfunction causing an engine to fail.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration LN-TUK reached Stavanger with a delay of 90 minutes.
