A Commutair de Havilland Dash 8-200 on behalf of United, registration N359PH performing flight C5-598/UA-3598 from Washington Dulles,DC to Charlottesville,VA (USA), was climbing out of Dulles Airport's runway 19L when the crew declared emergency reporting they had lost all hydraulic fluid from the #2 hydraulic system requiring them to pump the gear down manually. The aircraft stopped the climb at about 7000 feet and returned to Washington's Dulles Airport for a safe landing on runway 19R, stopped on the runway and was towed to the apron.

The flight was cancelled.
