A RAM Royal Air Maroc Boeing 737-800, registration CN-ROP performing flight AT-997 from Porto (Portugal) to Casablanca (Morocco), was climbing out of Porto's runway 35 when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 due to an engine (CFM56) failure and returned to Porto for a safe landing on runway 35 about 45 minutes after departure.
