A Swiss International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration HB-IJP performing flight LX-564 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Nice (France) with 166 people on board, was on final approach to Nice's runway 04L about 2nm before touchdown when the captain became incapacitated. The first officer took control of the aircraft, continued the approach and landed safely on Nice's runway 04L.

Switzerland's SUST reported on Sep 7th 2018, that captain became incapacitated due to medical reasons. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.
