An Aerolineas Argentinas Boeing 737-800, registration LV-FUA performing flight AR-1878 from Buenos Aires Aeroparque,BA to Ushuaia,TF (Argentina), was in the initial climb out of Aeroparque's runway 13 when one of the engines (CFM56) ingested a bird prompting the crew to stop the climb at FL060, enter a hold to burn off fuel and return to Aeroparque for a safe landing on runway 31 about one hour after departure.

The rotation was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 26 hours after landing back.
