An Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-100, registration C-GBHO performing flight RV-1857 from Los Angeles,CA to Las Vegas,NV (USA), was in the initial climb out of Los Angeles' runway 24L when the crew selected the gear up but received a fault indication for the green hydraulic system, the gear did not retract. The aircraft levelled off at 5000 feet, the crew worked the related checklists and verified the gear was still down and locked. The crew declared PAN PAN and returned to Los Angeles for a safe landing on runway 25R about 40 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported emergency services performed a visual inspection and found no leaks, the gear doors however were open. The aircraft taxied to the apron on own power.
