A Vueling Airbus A320-200, registration EC-ICS performing flight VY-1670 from Barcelona,SP to Santiago de Compostela,SP (Spain), was in the initial climb out of Barcelona's runway 25L when the aircraft experienced a bird strike resulting in abnormal vibrations of an engine (CFM56). The crew levelled the aircraft off at 3000 feet and returned to Barcelona's runway 25R about 15 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration EC-LAA reached Santiago de Compostela as flight VY-167D with a delay of 100 minutes.

The airline confirmed one of the engines ingested a duck resulting in engine vibrations.

The aircraft resumed service 35 hours after returning to Barcelona.
