Passengers reported the engine sounds were suddenly gone, the captain announced they had a problem with the fuel system adding that it appeared there was a short circuit in one of fuel pumps in the main tank. The captain instructed passengers to assume the brace position for landing. They were left stranded in Haiti with no information about how they would get to Miami.
