An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FTJR performing flight AC-481 from Montreal,QC to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 146 passengers and 5 crew, was in the initial climb out of Montreal when a bird impacted the aircraft. The crew stopped the climb at 4500 feet and returned to Montreal for a safe landing on runway 24R about 20 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported the crew observed right hand engine (CFM56) vibrations, declared emergency and returned to Montreal.
