A Nok Air de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration HS-DQB performing flight DD-9603 from Buri Ram to Bangkok Don Mueang (Thailand) with 61 people on board, was backtracking the runway for departure and was about to turn around to line up for departure when the aircraft became disabled due to a hydraulic leak.

The airport needed to be closed for the entire day until the aircraft could be moved off the runway. The airport re-opened the following morning.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service the following day after about 30 hours on the ground.
