An Aurora Airbus A319-100 on behalf of Aeroflot, registration VP-BDM performing flight SU-5436 from Vladivostok (Russia) to Seoul (South Korea), was enroute at FL360 about 260nm south of Vladivostok when the crew decided to return to Vladivostok due to an engine (CFM56) oil indication. The aircraft landed safely back in Vladivostok about 90 minutes after departure.

A replacement A319-100 registration VP-BWA reached Seoul with a delay of 4 hours.

The airline reported an engine oil sensor was identified defective. Following the annoucement of the technical malfunction and return to Vladivostok to passengers a few drunk passengers lit cigarettes in the lavatory, but they were not the cause for the return.
